She graduated from Ankara Tevfik Fikret High School in 1972 and from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine with the first degree in 1978, and received his specialist training in child health and diseases and child neurology at the same institution.

 

Post-graduation training:

In the field of neuroimmunology: University of Chicago, Research Associate (1989-91); Master's Degree: Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biology (1993-1995); Molecular biology guest researcher: University of Michigan, Neurology (Feldman Lab.) (1998).

 

Academic titles:

She became an associate professor at Hacettepe University in 1989 and a professor in 1995, and retired in 2023.
